AWeber review for freelancers comparing email marketing plans
We earn commissions from some links on this site (currently Systeme.io). How we make money
An independent, affiliate-supported assessment by SoloOps Stack. This is a review of the official pricing page, not a report from an account we have operated or a hands-on test.
The short version
AWeber's pricing page lists Lite, Plus and a Done For You setup, with a 14-day trial described on the plan cards. Structured data gives starting USD prices. A tier table then lists monthly and annual totals by subscriber count from 500 to 150,000. S1
Our editorial view: AWeber is a sensible shortlist candidate when you want email, and you are willing to read a subscriber tier instead of a single headline price. It is less useful if you need the price in GBP, or a numeric payment-processing rate, because neither was on this page.
SoloOps Stack is not AWeber. We do not provide AWeber account support, and this review is not an official AWeber recommendation.
What we checked
We reviewed the official pricing page at https://www.aweber.com/pricing.htm, including the plan cards, the Lite and Plus tier tables, and the page's structured data, on 2026-11-06. The plan cards were showing the subscriber control set to 0-500 subscribers, with prices labelled "Billed annually." No overall publication or update date was shown. A copyright line runs 1998–2026, which is not a date for the price table. S1
Our criteria are the published plan names, the tier-table dollar amounts, the send multiples, and the feature counts printed on the cards. We have not measured deliverability, support response times, usability or commercial results. A customer quotation on the page is not used. The line "Get up to 4 Months Free" is a promotion, not a tier price, and is not used as one.
Plan overview: tier table versus the annual plan card
Structured data says Lite starts at US$15.00 and Plus starts at US$30.00, both USD, and that each includes a 14-day free trial. Those starting figures match the monthly column of the tier table at 500 subscribers. The plan cards, on the 0-500 selection and labelled billed annually, instead showed US$12.49/month for Lite and US$19.99/month for Plus. The tier table's annual totals at 500 subscribers are US$150.00 (Lite) and US$240.00 (Plus). Dividing those totals by 12 does not equal the card figures to the cent. This review reports both and does not "correct" either one. S1
Done For You, on that same 0-500 annual card, showed US$20.00/month labelled billed annually, a struck-through US$599, and a US$79 setup fee. Structured data describes Done For You as US$30/month plus a one-time US$79 setup fee. The US$30 and the US$20 are different published figures. Which one is month-to-month is not settled by putting them side by side, so this review does not merge them. S1
Plus tier table
The table headers on the page are Subscribers, Email Sends, Monthly Cost and Annually Cost. Dollar signs are the symbols printed in the table. Structured data identifies the plan offers as USD. A GBP column was not on this page. S1

The Plus card says "Send 12x subscriber max, monthly." The Lite card says "Send 10x subscriber max, monthly." Those multiples match the 500-subscriber rows (6,000 and 5,000 sends). Lists above 100,000 subscribers are directed to contact AWeber or call 1-877-293-2371. S1
What changes between plans?
The Lite card lists 1 email list, 3 landing pages, 3 email automations, 3 users and 1 custom segment. The Plus card lists unlimited email lists, unlimited landing pages, unlimited email automations, unlimited custom segments and unlimited users, plus priority 24/7 support and advanced reporting. Both cards mention sales tracking and "low transaction fees." No percentage or per-transaction amount was printed, so the processing rate is unclear. S1
Done For You is described as setup of emails, landing pages, workflows and integrations in 7 days, plus 30 days of unlimited edits, and as including everything in Plus. S1
For a solo business, our recommendation is to read the row for your subscriber count. The 500-subscriber monthly price is not the 5,000-subscriber price.
Pros: reasons to put AWeber on your shortlist
- Subscriber tiers are published as a table. Monthly cost, annual cost and email sends are listed from 500 through 150,000 subscribers for Lite and Plus, which is more specific than a single "starting at" line. S1
- Lite limits are numbered. One list, three landing pages, three automations and three users are concrete checks for a first email setup. S1
- A trial is stated. The cards and the structured data both describe 14 days. S1
- The annual card and the annual table can be compared. They do not match to the cent at 500 subscribers, which is itself useful: you can see that the headline monthly equivalent and the table total need a second look before you pay. S1
Cons and tradeoffs to consider
Two annual figures disagree by a cent-level gap, and Done For You has two monthly figures
At 500 subscribers, Lite's annual table total is US$150.00 and the annual card shows US$12.49/month. Plus is US$240.00 versus US$19.99/month. Done For You is US$30/month in structured data and US$20.00/month on the annual card, both alongside a US$79 setup fee. Until the vendor's checkout shows one amount, the price you will be charged is the checkout figure, not a blend of these. S1
"Low transaction fees" is not a rate
Both paid cards use that phrase. No numeric processor fee was on the pricing page. Do not treat it as zero, and do not invent a percentage. S1
GBP prices are not on this page
The structured offers are USD. This review does not convert the table into pounds. S1
A platform does not do the business planning for you
Our advice: decide how many subscribers you will import and how many automations you need before choosing Lite or Plus. Unlimited on Plus is a plan label, not a promise about your results.
Who it may suit
Consider AWeber if you want email with a published subscriber ladder, and Lite's three automations and three landing pages are enough, or you are prepared to pay the Plus row for your list size. That is a fit judgement based on the published scope, not a test result. S1
Who should compare alternatives first
Compare GetResponse if you want the other email plan we have documented, including its course and webinar tier. Read the GetResponse review. Compare a funnel-first bundle in the Systeme.io review, or a CRM bundle in the HubSpot review, if a subscriber table is not the decision you need to make.
A useful next step
Pick the subscriber row you would actually occupy and write down both the monthly and annual table amounts. Then compare them with the figure on the plan card before you start the trial.
